Google has announced a custom "beta" Android 11

Google has already released pre-builds of Android 11, but the Developer Preview images, according to the developers, are not intended for ordinary users. Soon after the announcement of the release date of the new version of the mobile OS, the company published a roadmap with a schedule of releases of more "friendly" beta versions, which can be tested by all interested owners of compatible smartphone models.

Initially, it was expected that Google will release the final version of the API for developers and will switch to open testing of new user functions as early as May of this year. Later, the situation changed: according to the updated schedule, the place of the long-awaited assembly was taken by Developer Preview 4, and the first custom beta version of Android 11 will appear only in early June.

The second and third public assemblies will be presented in July and August, respectively, and the release of the final version, according to Google, will take place in the third quarter of this year. The company indicates the need for more thorough testing of the stability of the operating system by developers as the reason for the delay in public beta. The exact date for the official launch of the eleventh version of the "green robot" has not yet been announced.
